Dark-Pop Newcomer LOR Drops Emotional New Single ‘Sip’
Vocalist and songwriter LOR releases her stunning second single ‘Sip’, a sweet yet dark ballad touching on addiction and heartbreak. Following on from her debut release ‘Used To’, both pop songs create a unique tone. Both are available everywhere now while the music video for ‘Sip’ drops September 22nd.

Hailing from Toronto, an exceptional hub for new musical talent, LOR’s sound merges pop, folk and R&B. Teaming up with producer SLWJMZ (Sean Leon, Freddie Gibbs) and vocal producer Nevon Sinclair (Daniel Caesar, LOONY) on both her first tunes, LOR’s vocals float effortlessly over strummed ukelele contrasted with thick 808 bass hits and atmospheric gentle piano. It tells the story of a past relationship with a partner who suffered from alcoholism, and how it affected the relationship.
“Sip is an emotional diary entry from a time where my head and heart felt ravaged. It’s about the sort of ‘crazy’ another person can swindle you into feeling – the madness starts to seep into your being. It becomes a sick, fun game you can’t stop playing” – LOR
Having received much praise from tastemakers for her previous single, such as LOCK Mag, Noctis Mag and Best In New Music, ‘Sip’ is sure to be a smash hit. And with the release of its incredible video, available everywhere Sept 22nd, LOR is sure to continue her musical ascension through 2021 and beyond.
