AN INTRODUCTION TO ‘A.M TROUBLE MAN’
Andi Ahamdi Ikechukwu Ononuju-McErnest, the rapper who goes by the stage name of A.M Trouble, has been up to a lot these last few years. Growing up between London and Nigeria he began writing poetry in his teenage years and soon found himself visiting studios and working with a variety of producers.
McErnest, who used to go by the name of Baby A, and now goes by Andi or A.M, has as many as musical styles as he does names. The language of London’s grime scene permeates his latest release, “Babe You’re Kool”, but the trap-sounding high-hat samples, and the syncopated snare rhythms that almost give the track a reggaeton feel means his music hard to pin down to any one scene or location. This is, perhaps, unsurprising, considering he has always lived between two countries for his entire life.

Like a lot of artists these days, Andi not only has the musical talent but also the business sense needed to work in the music industry – he’s a widely sought-after personal trainer and nutritionist throughout London, has launched his own fitness company “Oneinabillionmillion” and is now a Partner at the Lagos-based management company, “The McErnest Company.”

Recently signed the the newly founded The Uprise Label you can find some of his latest tracks on their website here and expect to hear a lot more from Andi.
