Get Lost in the Modern Tale of ‘Blessed With a Mess’ from Josh Robins
The ever-colourful Josh Robins is set to immerse listeners into the world of the wandering folk storyteller on his startling new EP, Blessed with a Mess.
Ahead of the release on 29th of August, Robins is giving fans an early taste with the single of the same name. The track is an upbeat melodic tale of a silver tongued gamemaster Johnny and the woman of his dreams, Rebecca, that struggles to resolve the complexities of Johnny’s wealth of earthly goods.
The music video follows the lyrical plot and showcases Robins’ jaunty storytelling to an appreciative pub crowd, as the love-story between Johnny and Rebecca is played out to its modern-day conclusion. Robins initially developed his unique sound and style from slumming it on country roads and busking around the UK. But as of late, the intrepid musician has found much-deserved stability in a travelling van where he can soak up the scenery of Britain and explore the folk arcadia that he longs to celebrate. He has hosted shows alongside Will Varley, the lead singers from Inspiral Carpets and The Bluetones and even graced the stage of Cambridge Folk Festival twice, all the while seeking to indulge in the journeyman path of his musical heroes. His rise from humble beginnings has firmly embedded him within the thriving Cambridgeshire and London folk scenes.

Josh is inviting fans to experience the single All Kinds of Shoes – available on 4th of August – and to take the full journey with him on the 29th of August by grabbing a copy of Blessed With a Mess on all platforms.
